I have a bit of an inventory backlog, so today I’m updating a small but refined shop exploration post, connecting with Geneva Heritage Station
These two shops are not far from each other, both located near the landmark Jet d’Eau, with Recall Clothing being close to another famous landmark, the Flower Clock.

The day in Geneva was truly blue, and Recall Clothing is nestled on a small street, Rue d’Aoste, near the Flower Clock in front of the avenue.

The storefront of Recall Clothing is really small, and it’s easy to miss if you’re not careful.

I have a habit of contacting the shop owner on Instagram the day before to avoid showing up to a closed store, but Recall Clothing didn’t read or reply to my message. So, I checked the business hours and came directly. The owner, Luca, was busy and probably hadn’t had the time to check the previous day’s messages. After I stated my purpose, we started a pleasant conversation.
I personally find it fun to have simple chats with owners from around the world. I mentioned that I was introduced by a friend, CaptainGNT, and showed him my Instagram. He immediately remembered, “Oh, that’s the guy with the cute dog!”

It was our first meeting. Although I’m an introvert, I tend to be quite talkative and sociable when I meet like-minded individuals one-on-one. It’s a rare opportunity to practice spoken language face-to-face, so I didn’t want to miss it. During our chat, I learned that Luca was born and raised in Geneva, two years older than me, and his family is from Italy. I mentioned that I was from Wuhan and had taken the train from Milan that morning. He said that everyone knows the city of Wuhan for a certain reason, and we shared a smile.
Luca got into classic men’s clothing because of a shirt left by his grandfather. His story is similar to many in the industry: he sold well because of his passion, and in 2020, he opened a physical store. He named it Recall to pay tribute to his grandfather, and this kind of timeless classic men’s clothing can bring people back to memories of the past.

The shop is very, very small, and you can see all the goods as soon as you enter. It’s normal in Geneva, where space is at a premium, and the location is really good. The avenue next to it is lined with luxury brand stores. It’s not easy for such a niche physical store to be here. Basically, you can capture all the goods in two or three photos.

Although I call it a vintage shop, the store’s style is more modern or semi-rugged and semi-gentlemanly, which can also be seen from the brands it carries. Among the footwear brands are Alden, Clinch, Viberg, Jelado (the 2 monkey), but I didn’t see any shoes from the 2 monkeys in the store.

At the Recall online store the brands seem more diverse, but the store only displays a few. Alden only has suede INDY and Chukka, no horsehide, probably because local consumer preferences are for this type of product.

Although there are not many shoes and boots displayed in the store, I feel that Luca must have a good knowledge of shoes. We talked a lot about shoes. Since Recall is a stockist of Clinch, we mainly talked about Japanese shoes. I mentioned White Kloud, and Luca said that if Clinch is like the moon, then White Kloud is the entire sky. From this, you can roughly know the status of White Kloud in the hearts of related practitioners. It can indeed be considered a workwear immortal.
There is no stock of Clinch’s popular models, and all need to be ordered in advance. During the chat, Luca revealed to me that Clinch would release a new black waxed suede Yeager, which he only told me and asked me to keep a secret. Later, Clinch did release it, and I did keep it a secret. After all, this shop exploration content was released half a year later, but Recall had already sold out.

Viberg has common Service Boots and uncommon slippers.

In addition to leather shoes, there are also a few pairs of Sneakers.

The owner is of Italian descent, so it’s more justified to carry Fortela and Scarti-lab.

Some hats, sunglasses, and accessories

Jelado the two monkey jackets.

There are very few leather jackets, only saw the Rainbow Country.

For denim, there are Stevenson Overall Co, Iron Heart, and Warehouse.

Two IndigoFera jackets, I knew this brand through a pair of pants before, and this time I saw some physical items and felt they were all pretty good.

On display is the workwear magazine AVANT founded by the collection big shot Eric, focusing on American and French military workwear.

A mini fitting room.

As you can see, the shop is small and can’t display much, so most of the time was spent chatting. Although Geneva is the largest city in western Switzerland, it can still be visited in one or two days. After seeing the Flower Clock, the Jet d’Eau, the old town, and the United Nations, if you still have time, it’s not bad to come and take a look at the vintage physical store and feel the physical items~

That’s it for this update. See you next time~
